This river is popular for white-water rafting, canoeing, and kayaking. Clayton is on Hwy 23/441. This area has been rated as one of the best retirement areas in the United States, due to it's low crime rate, low cost of living, and reasonable real estate prices. Locally grown produce is widely available in the summer and fall.
