The city is the only one with a street with a univerity at both ends. The Pantagraph or Lincolns lost speech was pressed here, with the theme of preserving the union in its entirety.

Bloomington is the home town of Russell Colaw, an old Air Force buddy of US Cities Founder, Merlin Gagle. They served together at Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY.
